Outside the Box | StreetARToronto

The city of Toronto has a new section called StreetARToronto where they look to promote and develop more street art, working with local artists. I've seen so much street art around, and had absolutely no idea that the city itself approved and initiated some of them! So it was a nice surprise to find out about the opportunity for the Outside the Box movement. This is where existing signal traffic boxes, which are drab and grey, get to have a makeover to both prevent tagging on them, and to add a fun canvas around the city.

It was fun painting and answering questions when people walking by were curious, and I even made some friends! This box is located at Bay and Albert Street, right next to City Hall.
