Nuit Blanche 2010 | The Bus House

This was a Nuit Blanche installation I produced in 2010. The idea came from a little photo I found on the internet, of a fully decorated bus stop in the Shetland Islands. I figured, "wouldn't it be so much fun to have one of these in Toronto?" and of course, the night of crazy art is the perfect opportunity.

So I got to work.

We had three bus shelters, all within the intersection of Queen and Bay, with an artist designing each space. A child's room, a teen dorm, and an elegant adult sitting room. My friends Sandy Escobar and Tijana Spasic were the other two artists.

We had little art activities at each site, and the kid's one was equipped with window crayons on all sides, for people to write and draw all over the glass. (That was my favourite)

Overall, we met a lot of crazy and fun people, and it was probably the best all-nighter I've ever pulled.
