We joined over 100 water protectors in kayaks, canoes, and war canoes in a ceremony led by Indigenous leaders against the Kinder Morgan station in the Burrard Inlet. Greenpeace joined us later as well!
It was really powerful to be there with everyone, and approaching the razor-wire fence to the pipeline terminal, it stank of petrol. I can’t imagine the damage it’s doing to the water. And Kinder Morgan want to increase the tanker traffic here by another 300%, threatening sea life - especially our southern resident orcas.
